Nayled Acuña-Coll is a Colombian civil engineer currently pursuing PhD studies in Civil Engineering at Universidade do Minho (Portugal) and Universidad de los Andes (Colombia). Her PhD research works on the formulation of a dynamic stochastic model to perform the integrated assessment of infrastructure projects under an uncertainty framework. The model covers three important dimensions: physical execution, financial dynamics, and environmental impact. The model incorporates the dynamics of infrastructure systems through time by accentuating interdependences, feedback processes, and uncertainty propagation. Besides the research, Nayled worked on the H2020 InfraROB project to support the development of Advanced Pavement Management Systems by integrating decision-support tools towards building resilience and sustainability. She worked as a lecturer and graduate teaching assistant in Colombia where she taught courses on infrastructure management, risk analysis, and civil engineering essentials. She specializes in stochastic modeling, deterioration and reliability analysis, and multi-objective decision making.
