Joaquim Tinoco concluded his PhD under the topic “Application of Data Mining Techniques to Jet Grouting Columns Design”. He is researcher at ISISE, with interests in the fields of Transportation Geotechnics (Soft Soils, Slopes Stability, Scour) and Machine Learning (Decision Support Systems, Neural Networks, Evolutionary Algorithms, Digital Image Processing). Author of over 40 publications indexed in Web of Science and 55 publications indexed in Scopus, published in international peer-reviewed journals and conferences, with a total of 1074 Google Scholar citations (h-index of 16) and 701 Scopus citations (h-index of 14). Since 2021, he has been coordinating several national and international projects (e.g., In2Track3, FERROVIA 4.0, LIAISON, WISE) in the field of transportation infrastructures. Additionally, he has submitted several projects proposals under competitive funding programs. Also, He has been a regular reviewer of ISI JCR journals and since 2020.
