Short Bio

Since I am from Bucaramanga, Colombia, the second most active seismic nest on earth, eismology has always fascinated me, which drew me to study civil engineering aiming toward risk ssessments. I have experience in machine learning, data analysis, applied probabilistics, non-destructive tests, and visual inspections. My field of expertise is fragility analysis, including seismic and scour studies of bridge systems. Currently, I am developing research on a probabilistic framework for assessing the seismic performance of structures employing machine learning techniques at the Institute in Sustainability and Innovation in Structural Engineering (ISISE).

Thesis Title:

A probabilistic-based framework for site-specific seismic vulnerability assessment of masonry arch bridges through machine learning methods

Research interest:
  • Fragility analysis
  • Seismic hazard
  • Risk assessment
  • Probabilistic analysis
  • Machine Learning
