Short Bio

Civil engineer with professional experience in structural design, teaching, and research. With over a decade of hands-on experience as a building structural designer, I am passionate about addressing seismic and construction issues within civil engineering. I delight in working in multidisciplinary teams that combine civil engineering, architecture, chemical engineering, and environmental engineering to create new solutions. In recent years, I gained in-depth knowledge about transportation infrastructure management through research efforts on key projects such as SIRMA and GIP at the University of Minho, which became the focus of my PhD program.
